LGBT2SQ+ Educator's Conversation 2019
The Centre will be presenting the second LGBT2SQ+ Educators Conversation at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), (252 Bloor St W, Toronto, ON) on April 26th, 2019.
This will be a day-long conversation run by LGBT2SQ+ identified educators that will cover a wide array of topics for School Boards across the province. Workshops will explore school policy, allyship, navigating freedom of expression, and Creed Rights.
- Programming provided by LGBT2SQ+ identified Educators.
- Topics and workshops relevant to members of all school boards
- Resources and materials provided to ensure a safe school
Please note that you need to identify as part of the 2LGBTQI+ community to attend this event.
The current early bird registration pricing for this event is $75 and this price is effective until February 1st, 2019. Afterwards, the event will cost between $100-$150 based on a sliding scale. As this event is subsidized and incurs a cost to CCGSD, we are only able to refund registration costs for folks who could not attend for extenuating circumstances.
The registration fee for this event is only $75. We encourage interested participants to seek funding from their teacher unions, or approach their administrator for money out of their school’s Safe School budget. This opportunity is an amazing chance at increasing one’s professional learning community, and witnessing what other schools across the province are doing to comply to Bill 13.
Participants must cover their own travel to the event.
